CE Webcast: Mobile technologies in health sciences libraries

CCML and the Health Sciences Library will be hosting the MLA Webcast on Wednesday April 18 from Noon – 1:30 pm.  We will be watching the webcast in Teaching Lab 2 of the Health Sciences Library on the Anschutz Medical Campus.

The topic for the webcast is “Leveraging Mobile Technologies for Health Sciences Libraries”.  The goal of this webcast is to familiarize information professionals with current practical applications of mobile technologies in clinical and curricular support settings.  Topics will highlight innovative uses of mobile technologies, address technology challenges, and provide best practice guidance for applying in viewers’ local environments.

Bandy and Dudden win Eliot Prize!

Congratulations to Margaret Bandy and Roz Dudden, this year’s recipients of MLA’s Eliot Prize, for their book, The Medical Library Association Guide to Managing Health Care Libraries.  The Ida and George Eliot Prize is presented annually for a work published in the preceding calendar year that has been judged most effective in furthering medical librarianship.  Margaret and Roz will receive their award at this year’s MLA meeting in Seattle.
